Young Naturalist Access Program (YNAP)

The Young Naturalist Access Program (YNAP) provides young people facing difficult circumstances (under the age of 17) in Tompkins County and boarding counties with free access to a special membership that includes a week of summer camp at Cayuga Nature Center (available for ages 3-13) AND a one-year YNAP Youth Membership to PRI's public educational venues, the Cayuga Nature Center and the Museum of the Earth. YNAP provides young people and their families/caregivers all of the benefits of a regular PRI membership plus free access to all of our ticketed events, such as local Fossil Field Trips, as space is available.

This program is made possible by individual donors and corporate sponsors.

Our first grader has been obsessed with dinosaurs for years and it feels like his interest is more than a childhood phase. We have loved bringing fossils in to ask questions at the museum and were able to go on a fossil dig this summer through the YNAP program - something that would have been otherwise out of reach. Thank you!

We have been YNAP members for years. I believe this is the reason my kids love being outdoors and in nature. They are so happy and excited to learn about nature, the environment, and animals.
